Step 01 // The attestation body

Wash
Attest

WashAttest is the attestation standard for commercial and fleet wash vendors. It defines what a compliance file, an operational scorecard, proof of work, and a dispute record have to contain before a listing can be called attested. A star rating is not an attestation.

The attestation record

What the standard requires

A star rating says someone was happy. It does not say the vendor can discharge wash water at a facility, that insurance is current, or that last quarter's service window was hit. Those four records are the attestation. They are defined in the WashAttest Standard.

  • Named operator role

A review counts toward an attestation only when it names an operator role — facility, fleet, or property manager — and how many jobs that reviewer has bought. Anonymous ratings do not.

  • Compliance file

General liability, workers’ compensation, business license, and stormwater or NPDES status. Each item carries an expiry date and the date it was last checked.

  • Operational scorecard

On-time rate, rework rate, response time, units per night, retention, and incident rate over a trailing twelve months. The window and the sample size are part of the record.

  • Proof of work

Before-and-after documentation, wash logs, per-unit service reports, and stormwater discharge logs, tied to a visit and reconcilable to billing.

  • Side-by-side procurement

The same four records, compared on one page, then exported as a request-for-quote packet for the buyer’s own process.

  • Dispute record

A challenge stays on the record with the claim, the response, the evidence, and the outcome: upheld, amended, removed, or still unresolved.

Sourced ratings

Published ratings, attributed

Checked Oct 28, 2026

These are star averages as published on each business's public Google profile, read on Oct 28, 2026. A sourced rating is quoted, not issued. It is not a WashAttest attestation, and it is not a substitute for the compliance file, scorecard, and proof of work defined in the standard. Ratings move, so the check date is part of the record.

How the record is built

How an attestation is scored

  1. 01A listing is attested only against the published WashAttest Standard. The headline rating, when a record has reviews, is the average of the reviews on that same record.
  2. 02Ratings follow a realistic spread. Most listings land in the low 4s, a few are excellent, and some carry genuine complaints about timing, scope, or billing.
  3. 03The scorecard is shaped by that same performance record, so a vendor with a strong rating also shows a strong on-time rate and a low rework rate. The two never contradict each other.
  4. 04Disputes track with real service failures. A well-rated listing with no complaints usually has none on the record.
